Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, has promised to give his best when Super Eagles of Nigeria tackle the Benin Republic and Lesotho in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers on Saturday and Tuesday, respectively.
Iheanacho, who is currently Nigeria’s most in-form striker at club level, said he is happy to be in the Super Eagles camp.
“I am happy to be here, I am happy to be with my teammates,” Iheanacho told Channels Television.
“Senior Man is happy to be in camp, so we are all ready, we are working really hard to make sure that we win the games.
“It is not going to be easy, but I am not promising anything, but I strongly believe that we are going to come out victorious in those games.
“Me personally, I am going to do my best to make sure that we win.”
Nigeria is currently on top of Group L with a point ahead of Benin, and a win against Michel Dussuyer’s side in Porto Novo will seal their qualification for next year’s AFCON in Cameroon.
