Manchester City Manager, Pep Guardiola, has insisted he has no regrets over Jadon Sancho’s exit to join Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho came through City’s youth academy system, but chose to leave for Dortmund in 2017.
The 20-year-old has emerged as a key figure for the Bundesliga side and broken into the England national team.
Now, Sancho is set for a reunion with City, after both clubs were drawn in the Champions League quarter-final draw on Friday.
When asked if he was frustrated Sancho rejected a contract offer at 17, Guardiola made it clear he is happy to see the youngster performing well away from the Etihad Stadium.
“We wanted him to stay, but he decided to leave. When people decide to leave, all we can do is let them leave.
“I wish him all the best, except when he plays against us. No regrets at all. If he’s happy, I’m happy,” Guardiola said.
